The Problem

Syracuse, Utah is located about 30 miles northwest of Salt Lake City and is home to roughly 40,000 residents. The community is predominantly Latter-day Saint (about 78%), with a significant portion reporting no religious affiliation (15%), while Catholics and other groups make up about 5%, and evangelical Christians about 2%.

The Opportunity

The best way to combat this false gospel is by planting biblical, healthy, and sustainable churches, to establish a beacon of light in a vastly dark community. Through the local church, believers are equipped for Gospel ministry where they work, play, and live.

The Solution

  • Team support and logistics Pray that God would provide all needed financial support, resources, good health, and smooth travel arrangements.
  • Groundwork for the new church plant Pray for the Lord to prepare hearts, raise necessary support for the church-planting pastors, grant wisdom, and provide the resources needed to establish a gospel witness in a place where there is currently none.
  • Church-planting pastors and their families Pray specifically for Travis Ayers and Andrew Sutton, and for the spiritual, physical, and relational health of their families.
  • Redemption family of churches Pray for faithfulness and fruit as they labor for the gospel and continue to plant new churches.
