Each year, we have an emphasis for our church family to commit to give toward missions.
A few things we need to remember:
- Give generously and cheerfully.
- Give your tithe as first priority. The missions offering is above and beyond your regular tithe.
- Giving toward missions should be done all year long. Giving toward missions does not start Sept. 27 and end Dec. 13. Our Fall Missions Giving Emphasis is just that…an emphasis; a highlight; a kick-starter; a starting point for the next twelve months.
2015 Fall Missions Giving: From Our Neighborhoods to the Nations
Date: September 27 – December 13
Our desire is to introduce people, who live in our neighborhoods around us, and extending out to all nations the wondrous saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. To do so, God calls us to sacrifice. If it is that important, then it should cost us something. Reaching people will require us to sacrifice our time, our talents, and our treasure.
God, in Christ, has made us, who were bankrupt in sin, rich in grace. Our motivation in giving is for all people to know of this grace. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. (2 Cor. 8:9)
Beginning September 27, each member will have the grace to give toward our missions budget each Sunday through December 13th. We are asking each member to set aside an offering each week to be designated for missions.
Below, you will find the breakout by percentages of where our missions offering will go.
